I am a passionate public health official looking to help communities tell their stories.

Hi there! Welcome to my e-portfolio site. I'm Ruth ---- a public health official, social media marketer, and life-long learner who is passionate about food equity and access for all.

During my various jobs across my professional career, I have always noticed the inequities when it comes to healthcare access and knowledge. With this in mind, I decided to expand my knowledge beyond Communication Studies and pursue a Master's of Public Health, focusing on Community Health Education. This advanced degree gave me the tools to work with marginalized communities, continue my search to level the playing field to access healthy food options through a needs assessment, and gave me an important perspective regarding social determinants of health.

My goal is to break down the barrier to accessible and easy-to-understand health information so that everyone is able to make educated decisions regarding their health.
